Jacketflap: Eddi McCandry sings rock and roll. But her boyfriend just dumped her, her band just broke up, and life could hardly be worse. Then, walking home through downtown Minneapolis on a dark night, she finds herself drafted into an invisible war between the faerie folk. Now, more than her own survival is at risk--and her own preferences, musical and personal, are very much beside the point. My Thoughts: There were some fun parts in this book, some entertaining characters, some exciting bits. But the dialogue was clunky (and at times downright cheesy), and the plot was predictable.
I didn't particularly enjoy this book, but that shouldn't stop you from trying it out. Especially, if you like urban fantasy, faeries and/or have ever dreamed of being in a rock band.

Hmmm...I think I'll trust your judgment on this one! :-)
but it does sound intriguing a rocknrolla in a fairy battle
Good for you that you actually posted your real reaction. I swear, I'm starting to have this knee-jerk response of just turning away whenever I see book reviews posted on a blog because they're inevitably gushy, glowing reviews. But then maybe I'm just being cranky. That's the usual explanation for most of my reactions.
Happy T-giving!
Cheers,
Kristen
