I don't really have a fave genre and read books of all but if I had to choose I would pick, speculative fiction. haha! I picked an umbrella genre. I hope that still counts. ;D
Sub and Umbrella genre's totally count. Are those the same thing? :)
I'm in, Fantasy gets my vote!
- Sophia.
Count me in! I put up a sidebar link and I will post it to FB. I'm still trying to decide if I have the skills for your Scene-in-verse. :-)
Oops! My favorite genre is fantasy.
I need a few days to get on it, but I'll have this stuff done over the weekend. I'm super excited. :)
Favorite is a no-brainer for me. YA all the way! (Although mystery, middle grade, romance, fantasy, and SciFi are also right up there.)
We spilled :) now you...what's yours?
Who in their right mind doesn't want more book money??!
I've loved your exploration of different genres Val but have to admit that after all that, literary fiction is still my fave.
I wanna know too... what's yours??
Sophie- I've marked you down! :D
Shannon- no skills required to participate in the scene-in-verse blogfest, just a good sense of humor. :)
Bri- oooo....are you going to do the blogfest with me?!! :) Say yes, oh do say yes!!
Alisa and D- That information is forthcoming...patience my dears. Patience.
Cool contest. My favorite genre is Mystery.
CD
Awesome contest! I'm all about YA contemporary with fantastical elements. Give me swoony boys and unicorns any day! :)
(Does it count that you're in my massive contest blog post?)
Happy holidays!
Yes! 5 extra entries for you unless I decide to deduct for the unicorn thing.... kidding kidding... :D
Hey! I'm new here. But I love connecting with other book nerds. And I love free stuff. That's why I blogged about you here:

My favorite genre is fantasy. Make that epic fantasy.
Okay, GOOD epic fantasy. But I'm willing to wade through a lot of other fantsay to find the good stuff.
Actually, I'll read just about anything you put in front of me. I heart books!
Welcome Queen 'Bina! Glad to have you! Book lovers unite!
Fave genre is really science fiction, but I write middle grade and young adult, which are really their own genres ... now I'm confused! LOL
:) Great contest!!
Hehe... Susan, you can love them all!! I won't judge you. ;)
Great contest, and blog! I love reading science fiction, either adult or YA. I love all the possibilities!
I love dystopian (yeah, I like to angst over the future). Mostly, I read YA but Margaret Atwood's adult dystopian always rocks my boat. My shelves are full of fantasy and some SF, too, for YA and adults. I can't seem to get enough.
I entered the verse fest. Eeeks. But I think I'm going to love trying.

Thanks for the cool contest and blogfest!
Shallee- Welcome!
Tricia- Oh my lordy. You and me, in the same boat, rocking and reading Atwood! I love her all her stuff, but especially the dystopian. If you cut me I'd bleed dystopian angst. :) Also, I'm so glad you entered the blogfest! Way to be brave! :D
My favorite genre currently is non-fiction books that should probably be called self-help (that sounds so cheesy) and non-fiction books that educate you on certain topics. I also enjoy a good historical fiction.
OH also I mentioned you on my twitter, FB, and blog :)
me me me!!! (afterall, it IS an International contest!)
Fave: Classic Literary Fiction (is that even one?)
((HI.Love you.I better win)) ;)
Fantasy and travel (thanks to you). I'm gonna mention this on my blog, put it on my sidebar and twitter because you are full of awesome!! That puts me at +9 points.
The 29th is my 20th anniversary so I'm sorry but I will be otherwise engaged.
I love so many genres! Dystopian, steampunk, romantic suspense, fantasy are my faves at the moment. :)
My favorite genre i mostly read it YA romantic fiction :)
khyla_808(at)yahoo(dot)com
The only genre I write is picture books, but my favorite to read is probably plain old contemporary fiction.
I read all different kinds of genres. I probably read more contemporary romance and paranormal than anything.

Paranormal/urban fantasy/dystopian. I guess that's three. Mainly in that order, though.

Thanks for the giveaway.
I suppose I would have to say speculative fiction but it covers so many different types.
Lets just say I usually read what used to be called epic fantasy and Science fiction.
