Every so often, it's important to take a step back from life and reassess, objectively, how things are going. To determine what's working and what's not and how to change the what's not into winning!
I've been struggling with my blog for several months now. Part of that was due to a sudden lack of time. The other part, to my sudden lack of inspiration.
I like blogging. But sometimes I just don't know what to say and then I start feeling like, what's the point? And then things start feeling stale and worn and very much like I'm standing in a corner whispering to myself. "Hello, precious. What shall we do today? What's that? Pick the lint out of our belly button? Okay." But I have good news!
After weeks of soul-searching, I now have a shiny, new idea for my sad and neglected blog. A shiny, new idea that will allow me to connect more with you dear reader and give you better content. Content that you will hopefully find inspiring and useful and entertaining. This new shift will allow me to continue sharing with you my passion for books and words and writing, but I'll also be able to expand and allow other creative lovelies into the fold. Because the world is large and should be explored.
So thank you for sticking with me through the doldrums. Hopefully, as the new content comes flowing in, you will find it worth your while to come back around and perhaps even join in the conversation.
I am a recent convert to the slow blogging movement and since my desire is not to become a professional blogger (fiction is my love, stories are my addiction), I will continue to post only once a week on Mondays. I do, however, enjoy connecting through social media and experimenting with this different medium...so, to that end...once a week, dear reader, once a week let's get our creative souls together and set the world on fire.
